Michael, the Principal of the firm, began his career as an accountant with his very first bookkeeping position in 1982.  Michael continued to sharpen his skills over the years working with a wide range of small-medium sized companies.  After working for a number of years with Marriott Corporation as an Assistant Manager, Michael eventually moved to Las Vegas where he worked as an Auditor in the Hotel/Gaming industry.  Michael realized that he would gain greater satisfaction from assisting individuals better manage their finances than larger corporations and left the accounting field to work for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.  Following a very successful period of years with Morgan Stanley, Michael was recruited to work with Bank of America's Investment and Insurance Divisions.  It was during these period that Michael attained the credentials of Financial Planner, Retirement Planning Specialist, Fixed Income Specialist, Rule 144 Specialist (Insider Stock transactions) and attained notoriety as the top producer of residential loans in the nation for the last 5 years of his time with Morgan Stanley.

Nancy enjoys spending time with his family (wife and two boys), learning languages, and watching sci-fi, history, educational tv and financial news programs in his spare time.

Alan J. Bernstein MBA, CPA
Alan has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant since 1974. He is dedicated to helping clients make intelligent financial decisions and ethically minimize tax liability. Alan's patience and dedication  ensures that every client receives the maximum benefit possible and that everyone is treated with the highest regard and respect.

Alan earned his  MBA at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.  He then went on to become a Certified Public Accountant.  Although Alan spent most of his time working as a CPA in Chicago, Illinois and New York, he has lived in the Henderson, Nevada area now for more than five years.

MJM Financial Services/ASAP Tax Returns is fortunate to have Alan overseeing its Accounting, Taxes and Business Services Divisions.  Alan is a rare find in the accounting industry, he combines the best in professional knowledge and expertise with a warm and friendly personality that is refreshingly earnest.

In his spare time, Alan enjoys photography, Computer Science, and spending time with his friends, church and pets.
